Running a business is hard work. Running two companies, and well - you're exhausted. It can be challenging to do everything from marketing, SEO, designing templates, and juggling photography clients. Client calls wanting a wedding photographer, even if you have explained that you aren't a wedding photographer. Days slip by too fast, and you feel there aren't enough hours in the day to handle everything you need to get done. But then you ask yourself, " Should I go back to work for someone else?"
That proverbial question is on the minds of many of us these days, especially those who have taken to the great resignation. As we battle through each day - trying to accomplish at least one item on our checklist, we wonder if we had the right choice.
It's easy to give up and go back to making someone else wealthy. It's easy to become tied to guaranteed income as long as you complete the task that you're paid to do. Most of the time - it's just showing up that'll get you paid. But let's be honest, you would rather stub your pinky toe 100 times than go back to feeling the type of exhaustion that comes from feeling underappreciated for your efforts.
No one said that starting your own business would be easy. If it were, then everyone would do it. My advice to you fellow entrepreneurs out there - keep going. You've just got to push through. Do you want your business to succeed? Of course, you do! Learn to hire people or outsource tasks you don't have time to do. Forgive your mistakes because no one is watching you. You are your worst enemy and heaviest critic.
Bottom line: Success isn't an overnight achievement. It takes hard work, skill, dedication, and patience. Give yourself time to grow. Don't take on work that you aren't sure you'll be able to do. The worst thing you could do is NOT to try. So TRY.
